Hello again, friends of APON Games!

We are in the home stretch for the itchfunding campaign for Broken: a Tragic Romance Game. Thank you again for supporting Broken by backing, spreading the word, and sharing it with others. We are less than $150 away from our stretch goal: a set of six Scenarios designed by a team of exciting game designers! Make sure you check out the campaign page for updated bios and headshots of our scenario design team!

With one week left, we’re asking for your help with spreading the word in the final days of this campaign. The absolute best way you can help us connect with even more backers is by telling someone about the game. Sharing the game on your social media – on twitter, in Facebook groups, Discord channels, or wherever you hang out with other gamers – goes a long way to raising awareness for our campaign. Another very helpful thing you can do is post about the game on the Tabletop RPG reddit including why you think it is worth backing and playing. Another quick way to help is to give Broken a rating and review on the itch.io page.

If you’ve had a chance to play the game, sharing your play stories is another great way to raise interest. Plus, we really want to hear your stories of heartbreak playing the game!

Podcasts featuring Broken

Throughout the campaign, I had many opportunities to appear on interviews to talk about the game, and many great actual play shows featured episodes playing Broken. Most of them can be found on the campaign page. If you missed it, you can hear me talk about the game on EN Publishing’s Not DnD show, and on an episode of the Yes Inde’d podcast.

We were also excited to have Alice Kyra and Elliot Peterson guest play on Pod of Love. In the two part episode, they played two lesbians stuck on a spaceship together while everyone else is in cryosleep. You can imagine that was a tough situation for two people slowly breaking up! It ended with a real gut punch. Huge thanks to Alice and Elliot for joining us for that special miniseries. You can listen to the whole six-part miniseries on Pod of Love.

Broken Full Version Development

The full version of Broken is in development, and our safety designer Beau Sheldon of Thoughty Games is working on the safety elements of the game now. When that’s complete, I’ll be working on changes and additions to the game, and then getting the text to our editor. I hope to be adding Scenarios to the slate of work to be done to the game once we hit that stretch goal!
